It’s one of my favourite things watching a small-business blossom to become bigger-business. Watching that tricky tipping point, where a business is ticking over with a core customer – who is loyal and loves the product, yet still needs to continually evolve it’s products in order to gain an even wider audience.
Business is a tough balancing act
Over the years I’ve watched the Spotted Cow Cookie Co. go from the humble-home-cooked-cookie to cafe-culture-cookies to the-high-flyer-cookie on board hundreds of flights via Virgin Australia. You think, where on earth from here?
Well, never underestimate a savvy business woman like Tahnee Walters – the main cooking cow and founder. She’s leapt from high-flyer-cookie to even higher grounds – winning several medals at the Royal Easter Show (WTF?!). If that wasn’t enough, those spotted cows launched a whole new site – equipped with an online store for those click n’ crave cookie orders at cookie o’clock. And then… these cows have found the time to cure the cravings of avid cookie monsters (such as myself), with her new swoon-worthy Naughty & Nice Carton.
It’s the best of both worlds, two types of cookies in one totally cute (cow-inspired) carton. As I munch on the ‘naughty’ triple chocolate cookie then the ‘nice’ choc chip cookie I have visions of “it’s black, it’s white”. You know, the classic MJ song in his hay-day with that mesmerising face changing bit towards the end of the video clip. This video clip makes me think – business like life is about constant momentum, reinvention and unmasking. I’m eager to see where these spotted cows go next, and the next face of these cookies.

Business growth watching may be one favourite things to do but here are a few of my real favourite things I haven't been able to put down

Yep, I've merged food and fashion. This gorg crystal butter dish (from Rozelle Markets $5) now holds my collection of bling n' rings

Some clever packaging, this cow inspired milk carton holds a little naughty and a little nice bite size cookies

I couldn't help but pour these little treasures out into these little crystal dishes. They made me gush as soon as I laid eyes on them at Rozelle Markets, total bargain at $1 each.

Thank goodness I can now get this goodie online - definitely check out the uber cute new website and store. Go on take a peak!
