BESIDES A TONGUE TWISTER, TWO THINGS I LOVE GETTING IN THE MAIL ARE; ONLINE PURCHASES *KA-CHING* AND FOODIE GOODS – WHAT ELSE COULD BE BETTER THAN THAT?!
A few weeks ago, the lovely Tahnee from The Spotted Cow Cookie Company sent me a package full of cookies to test out *ding-ding-dance-with-joy*. I thought a little afternoon tea would be the ideal way to taste test these little cookies.
First-things-first. I just adore the packaging, it’s tre cute. Stripes, tick. Logo, double tick. The tagline, udderly delicious, triple tick. THEN I turn the pack over and there’s another brand message, the main ingredient is love, and I’m all-ticked-out! Being a designer, these cookies have already got me EVEN before the taste test. Tahnee tells me that the packaging has been done by Tomorrow, a boutique design studio in Surry Hills specialising in packaging – they sure D.O!
I had four flavours to choose from: white chocolate and macadamia, triple chocolate fudge, moosli and the gluten free, cranberry and white chocolate. So I made a cuppa tea, sat down and got-my-cookie-on with the dry taste then the ultimate dunk test, in my eyes the true test of delectableness. I was shocked! I thought the classic white chocolate and macadamia would be my fav BUT it was the gluten-free cranberry and white chocolate that took the TOP SPOT. It’s a lot thinner than the other bikkies, and had the chewy-crumbly texture that I love in a cookie. Second, comes the moosli (even with the raisins!). The other flavours were mighty tasty too.
So. Cows. Can. Cook. Cookies. And damn fine ones too. Do the dry taste-test and dunk taste-test too! You can find them at your local cafe or on board all Virgin Australia flights – geez these spotted cows do get around.
